CAUSES:
Sleep apnoea is caused by partial or complete blockage of a person's throat while they are asleep. The breathing of a person with sleep apnoea can stop for anywhere between a few and 90 seconds, which causes them to wake up briefly.
SYMPTOMS:
Individuals who might be suffering from sleep apnoea may experience some of these symptoms:
- headaches
- tiredness during the day
- waking up choking
- gasping during your sleep
- dry or sore throat in the morning
- deterioration in concentration and memory.
TREATMENT:
It is most important to seek specialist care to diagnose the condition so that it can be treated appropriately to increase the quality of your general health.
Besides the CPAP machine to help alleviate sleep apnoea, we can construct a snoreguard. It is a dual plate worn at night to bring the jaw forwards and lift the soft palate to open up the airways.
