How Does it Work?
The SomnoMed MouthSplint treats snoring by moving your lower jaw forward slightly. This keeps your airway open while you sleep, allowing easier breathing and preventing snoring.
The device or mouth appliance is custom made so that it provides both effective treatment while being comfortable.
How is it Fitted?
The polymer mould is heat-cured, packed and pressed utilising an exclusive chemical formula that facilitates soft to hard polymer bonding. The result is a fit that is unmatched and unlike anything seen before
The splint issecurely anchoringwith a snug fit – even on short teeth with little undercut.
With an expected life of 3-5 years, it comes with a one year warranty against manufacturing defects and breakage and is suitable for all dentitions. It will not discolour or attract odours.
Variations?
The dentist can discuss which option it best suited for your particular mouth. Variations maybe required for teeth with crowns, bridges, dentures etc. There is a minimum requirement of at least six lower teeth.
